ABOUT THE RECIPE:

Super yummy, these roasted Sweet and Salty Almonds make a jazzylicious snack!

Makes 10 to 12 servings

2

INGREDIENTS:

4 cups raw almonds
3 tablespoons brown sugar or maple sugar
3 teaspoons tamari, plus more as needed

3

INSTRUCTIONS:

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Line a large, rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread the almonds in a single layer on the lined baking sheet. Bake for 4 to 6 minutes or until the almonds are slightly golden. Check the almonds every 2 to 3 minutes to prevent burning.

Transfer to a large bowl. Sprinkle with the maple sugar and toss to coat. Then sprinkle with the tamari and stir together until the almonds are evenly coated. Taste and add 1 more teaspoon of tamari if a saltier snack is desired.

5

Let the almonds cool at least 30 minutes before serving. Stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator; the almonds will keep for about four days.
