ABOUT THE RECIPE:
Flavorful Brown Basmati Rice has a pleasing aroma and nutty taste that sets it apart from traditional brown rice. I like this method of cooking it, because it’s easy to prepare, but very flavorful!
Makes 4 servings
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup brown basmati rice, rinsed and drained
2¼ cups water
½ large (or 1 small) vegan gluten-free bouillon cube, crumbled
INSTRUCTIONS:
Put the rice, water, and bouillon cube in a medium-sized saucepan. Cover and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Decrease the heat to medium-low and simmer for 40 to 45 minutes, or until all of the water is absorbed. Stir with a fork to fluff. Cover and remove from heat. Let the rice stand for at least 10 minutes, or up to 25 minutes before serving. Fluff again and serve.
