Chocolate Candy Clusters

ABOUT THE RECIPE:

These quick-to-craft Chocolate Candy Clusters are so easy to make, yet they are bursting with rich flavor. Use your favorite ready-to-eat granola or cluster-style breakfast cereal in this recipe.

MAKES 12 to 14 candies

INGREDIENTS:

5 heaping tablespoons vegan dark chocolate chips
1 cup ready-to-eat vegan cluster-style cereal or granola
1 tablespoon raw unsweetened shredded dried coconut

INSTRUCTIONS:

Line a medium baking sheet with unbleached parchment paper. Put the chocolate chips in a double boiler over medium-low heat. When the chocolate has melted, remove from the heat.

Put the cereal in a medium bowl. Pour the melted chocolate over the cereal and stir together until the chocolate completely coats the cereal. For each cluster, drop one heaping tablespoon of the chocolate mixture on the lined baking sheet.

Sprinkle a bit of coconut over top of each cluster. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes, or until set. Stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator, clusters will keep for about five days.
