ABOUT THE RECIPE:
Spicy Rice is the perfect complement to any savory meal. This rice has just the right amount of spicy flavor to serve with a stew, steamed vegetables or just about any entrée.
Makes 6 servings
4 ½ cups water
2 cups brown basmati rice
1 teaspoon Jazzy Sazón (see recipe under ZESTY MAPLE ALMONDS)
Put all of the ingredients in a medium-sized saucepan. Cover and cook over medium heat for 40 to 45 minutes or until almost all of the water is absorbed. Fluff with a fork. Cover and let stand for 10 to 12 minutes before serving.
