Five-Ingredient Guacamole Dip

ABOUT THE RECIPE:

One summer evening it was my duty to bring the appetizer to a potluck dinner. I was running late and didn’t have a plan, but I did have some ripe avocados. Even though I did not have lemons or limes on hand, I got creative and prepared this easy and delicious dip! This dip also makes a wonderful sandwich spread.

Makes 4 servings

INGREDIENTS:

2 large ripe avocados, pitted and peeled
1 heaping tablespoon vegan mayonnaise
1 to 2 small cloves garlic, minced
1⁄8 teaspoon chili powder, plus more for garnish
1⁄8 teaspoon salt

INSTRUCTIONS:

Put all the ingredients in a medium bowl and mash with a potato masher or large fork until smooth and creamy. Transfer to a serving dish, top with additional chili powder, and serve!
