Ten Ways With Tofu!


Wondering “what the heck” to do with tofu? Tofu is so versatile! I love using it in so many recipes. It takes on whatever flavoring you choose to “spice it up” with, making it the perfect ingredient for vegan main dishes, desserts, creamy toppings, breakfast recipes, salads, baking and so much more!

 

Tofu is a great source of plant-based protein. Plain tofu comes in two main forms: regular (packed in water and found in the refrigerated section) and silken (in aseptic cartons that must be refrigerated after opening, and in refrigerated tubs, which must always be refrigerated). Each type is available in soft, firm and extra-firm varieties.

 

Always buy non-GMO, organic tofu from a reputable source. Store your leftover tofu in the refrigerator for up to 2 days, in a tightly closed container, with fresh water to cover by 1/2 inch. (Drain and change the water each day).
