Berry Maple-Mint Iced Tea

Makes 4 to 6 Servings

4 berry-flavored tea bags

5½ cups water

2 heaping tablespoons maple syrup

4 to 6 fresh spearmint or peppermint sprigs

Ice cubes

Bring 4½ cups of the water to a boil over high heat in a teakettle or large pot. Put the tea bags in the bottom of a large teapot. Pour the boiling water over the bags, cover, and let steep for 1 hour. Remove the tea bags. Add the maple syrup and stir to incorporate.

Add the remaining 1 cup water and stir to combine. To serve, put plenty of ice into 4 to 6 tall glasses. Pour the tea over the ice and tuck a sprig of mint into the cubes. Let stand 5 to 10 minutes so the mint flavor infuses into the tea and serve!
